Who are you voting for and why?

Im hung up on my vote this year. I had always been a liberal at heart but i feel like i agree more with the conservative views on smaller government and the economy. I respect Obama immensely for what hes had to indure trying to pass legislation through this house, but i also feel he has in some ways abused his powers. On the other end of that though i am socially liberal i believe in gay marriage and lean towards the left on the environmental and other issues. Its hard not to feel selfish either way. So im asking you who are you voting for and why? You may hate me, but im strung betweem Romney and Obama. I lived in Mass for awhile and know a lot of good things about him. He flip flops around on the social issues but i know hes a conservative. I also think Obama could deserve four more years to work things out...I mean bush got 4 more years to do nothing but destruction, so how could I not. I voted for Obama in 08.

Smaller Government and lower costs of governing?

G W Bush overspent our GDP by 20.7%; he is one of five presidents to do so since World War II. His father had the second greatest overspending followed by Reagan, then Obama, then Nixon. Obama is the first Democratic President since WWII to overspend (he is at 9%).

You should understand that President Bush moved thousands of jobs out of the private sector and into the federal government at a huge increase in cost of government. When he did this he caused several small business' to go out of business and added billions of dollars into the federal payroll and billions more into operational costs. The wages for capital police went up 237%. wages for congressmen jumped from $141,300. a year to $174,000. a year (39%), Under Bush the cost of the running Congress jumped from $2.87 Billion to $5,42 Billion.

America would be well on their way to recovery had the Republicans concentrated on helping fix our problems rather than ensuring Obama is a one term president.

The size and cost of Government can be contributed far more to Bush than to Obama.

Well the truth is there is very little difference between Romney and Obama. Only in party philosophy but the results will be the same. If you are socially liberal then you should be concerned about recent developments. Just look at the recent NDAA law that was passed with the new provisions. If people are suspected of being terrorists, they may be detained indefinitely without trial. So long to the rule of law.

I support Ron Paul because of his entire platform. I don't buy into the fear and paranoia by mass media regarding his foreign policy, I've traveled to the Middle-East on my own so I'm not as gullible as others and draw my own conclusions based on facts and my personal experiences. Please learn the concept of blowback and just learn the facts of history.

I've been studying economics for the past 4 years and Ron Paul is the only one that even comes close to understanding free market principles and monetary policies. He warned about the housing market for years and predicted it to a tee while so called economists were baffled.

He votes based on what is stated in the Constitution. There is nothing dangerous or out-of-touch with the Constitution. The US is a nation that appears to be heading towards heavy governmental control bordering on totalitarianism with the elimination of freedoms in the name keeping you safe from terrorism. As the result, we see provisions like the one passed by Obama that disregard our Constitution.

He's honest, sincere and humble. His track record has proven this for over 30 years. I trust a man of medicine over a corporate elitist. He offers an opportunity to break away from "controlled by bankers" mould and create an environment where people can begin to save again and prosper.

Resorting to insults and jumping to conclusions is a reflection of our culture, and if this is the direction we want to take, then we deserve everything we get. Do your due diligence and research the facts, ask questions and draw your own conclusions.

    Good luck!

Obama will pass SOPA and he passed the bill that will allow for indefinite detention of Americans. He is not for our rights, and recently said Capitalism does not work.

Where have we gone in his 4 years of presidency? No where. It's not just the House and Senate's fault, he needs to start passing some real legislation and creating jobs. He has not kept any of his promises.

I'll be voting for Ron Paul if he wins the primary. Look at his platform on Wikipedia.

I'm voting for the GOP nominee. Obama didn't deserve a first term, and nothing he has done suggests that he deserves a second. We are much worse off than we were when Bush left office.

When we know who will be the Republican candiate, maybe I can tell you. As of right now I don't know how you get Romney and Obama as we don't know yet who is running agenst Obama. So far my best choice will be "None Of The Above"

Anyone for Obama in 08 was fooled. Anyone for him in 2012 is to stupid to have a vote.

Sadly the GOP has jack crap to challenge the affirmative action president.

I must respectfully decline to answer due to the ambiguity of the NDAA and the danger my answer may place my family and I in.
