I have an old Norinco and bought a 9mm barrel and bushing for it about 20 years ago when 7.62x25 was still hard to find regularly. It worked and fired fine as long as I seated the 9mm bullets for it shallow as the 7.62x25 round is longer. The factory 9mm didn't feed very well in the stock magazine.

I bought some Tok mags specifically for 9mm that have a spacer block along the back of the mag and now standard rounds feed just fine.

Personally, I like the much higher velocity that the 7.62x25 offers.

  • Not that I know of. But why not just by a 9mm? I personally like the 7.62x25.

A company named Sarco used to sell conversion parts for this, but I have no experience with them.

I prefer the Ka-Boom of the 7.62x25 myself.

I'm fairly sure www.jgsales.com sells a conversion 9mm barrel to do just what your talking about.
