I couldn't sleep all night and need help!?

I have no Idea why not. Last night I went to bed at 2 (which is late for me) so tonight I expected the same. I layed in bed until 6 a.m EXHAUSTED but not falling asleep. I'm completely comfortable and the room is like it always is when I fall asleep easily. So now its 6 am and I've given up. Which route do I take? Coffee throughout the day with no naps at all, or like a 2 hour nap at noon or something? I'll be running on 0 sleep so I need a way to get me to sleep later today around 11 p.m. Also, why is it that someone can be soo tired for so long and be laying in bed and just not falling asleep?!

dont run to drugs because i dont think thats the answer, there are loads of things that can help. if it is a continuous problem then you can go to the doctors and they can decide what is best. However if this is short term (relativley) as in happening for less than 6 months, try things like relaxation CD's, warm baths before bed and dont do anything for at least half an hour before you even TRY to go to sleep. Don't get into bed before you try to go to sleep (if that makes sense) i.e. if you sit and read your mind will associate bed with reading, not with sleep. dont drink coffee and if you really need to nap through the day make sure it is for no more than 2 hours. finally avoid any foods after 8pm if you can help it.

    hope this helps

Naps and coffee are horrible ideas.

I didn't sleep last night either. I'd recommend melatonin. You can buy it at most drug stores.
