What part does it get stuck on? Why do you think you have a virus?
Update: Which blue screen did you get exactly? What was the error code? Also, your description of where you get stuck is not very detailed. Are you talking about the BIOS logo that pops up when you first apply power? What happens if you hit 'ESC' to get out of the graphical boot screen?
This doesn't sound like a virus at all. It sounds like a hardware problem.

It's likely your boot files are corrupted. If you are running a FAT32 partition you can use an MSDOS boot disk and check to see if the Master Boot Record is corrupted. At the DOS prompt, type FDISK/MBR then try to reboot. Other than that, if you are using the NTFS file system then you'll need the Windows install disk to load the NTDOS repair console which can help you. A useful command here is FIXBOOT. No guarantees though.

Did you try F2?
Also, if you just need to retrieve files, have a look at creating a TinyCore Linux bootable flash-drive/cd. I have one, and it really comes in handy.
