(a) Determine the force exerted by the rope on her arms.

a) the force on her arms is f = m v^2 / r = 54.9 x 3.96 x3.96 / 0.798 = 1078.85 N
b) force / weight = f / mg = v^2 / r g = 3.96 x3.96 / 0.798 x 9.8 = 15.6816 / 7.8204 = 2 (nearly)
