Just for LOLs and cuz the world can't get enough of him...(hockey)?
Bizzaro world.
Tim Tebow was born in Canada instead of down South. Same basic person, but Hockey instead of football.
What position does he end up playing?
Would he have been a better hockey player, than a QB?
Would he ever drop the gloves, or simply ask WWJD, say 'nice hip check brother' and skate away smiling?
Would you want him on your team, or would you not want the distraction?
For the record, I'm not a huge Tebow guy, pro or con...seems like a good kid, and I could care less about anyone's faith. But the question came up at lunch, I thought it was interesting, so figured I come here for more input.
Lots of good answers so far.
@ LJ great point on why players drop gloves
@ Ivy c'mon I ask about 2 questions a year, that's a good pace, right?

He'd be a power forward....I think he'd be a better hockey player than football player for sure. He's pretty athletic and can take a beating ...
I think he'd drop the gloves, because droping the gloves is not out of hate, but out of love for your own teammates and sometimes it's just your job.

Tebow would center the top line even though his limitations would be be evident (kind of like he is now at QB). He'd work to get better at his game. How/where he ends up... ?
Hmmm... no. He's already had success as a QB. Something about being a winner from his pop warner days --- college, right?
Drop the gloves? Ha, no chance. During a game vs the Raiders he actually tried to smooth things over during a little scrum. Between Broncos and Raiders! So, no... if anything he would get between the participants.
I would not want him on my team because my team is just dandy. However, Tim Tebow sells. A lot. So he would really be of great help to any struggling franchise. The floodgates would open--- $$$ everywhere!
Also: Tebow isn't like other QB's that slide to avoid contact. With his size... he can absorb a hit and usually pop right back up.

I picture him being a St. Louis type--never really dropping the gloves but checking best he can when need be. I think he wouldn't be nearly as good though. A much better QB than NHLer. I don't think he'd be a distraction in hockey. I guess I'd say he'd be a winger?
I like that he's public about his faith. At the very least, he's a good role model in a sport that sure could use some! (Football)
btw, I think this is the 1st time I've ever seen you ask a Q on here! Lol!

Might I suggest doing a Google search of Rocco Grimaldi because he is the real life version of Tim Tebow coming into the NHL.
However Tim Tebow was born in the Philippines to Missionary parents but is a US Citizen.
The NHL version of Tim Tebow would be born somewhere in Africa to Missionary parents but is a Canadian citizen.
He plays goalie because like Tebow playing QB it is one of the most significant potions on the ice and like Tebow who is not very good this goalie would post a 3.16 GAA (in honor of John 3:16) and he would never fight rather just say "God Bless" after every goal and he would thank Jesus after every press conference.
I wouldn't want him on my team though just cause his GAA would suck.
Interesting Question.

I definatly don't think he would have been a big deal at all. He gained the most attention while at Flordia, and if he played college hockey or even just went into a candien league for hockey he definatly would not have gained as much attention.

Interseting, you must be going through a tough time. Good Luck but Oscar hit the quote right on the money.

He would never make it in the sport.. you cant slide to the ground every time your about to get hit like a giant wuss and still be successful in hockey..
