What's the deal with Jesus Christ, is he wrong, in total ignorance and doesn't have a clue?

I means seriously, what's the deal? :-D

So many professed Christians SAY that all it takes to be a Christian and receive salvation is for a person to believe in, acknowledge Jesus Christ as LORD, get baptized and LO AND BEHOLD you're all set.

Jesus Christ on the other hand, says the following... And I quote Christ:

(A)

“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. 22 On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ 23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’ "

~ Matthew 7:21-23 (New Living Translation)

(B)

"So why do you keep calling me ‘Lord, Lord!’ when you don’t do what I say?"

~ Luke 6:46 (New Living Translation)

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%2...

(C)

"But the one who endures to the end will be saved."

~ Matthew 24:13 (New Living Translation)

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthe...

(D)

"Work hard to enter the narrow door to God’s Kingdom, for many will try to enter but will fail."

~ Luke 13:24 (New Living Translation)

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%2...

(E)

"You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me."

~ John 15:14-15 (New Living Translation)

Um, yeah, so anyway. I understand what the majority of the population of the world who profess to be Christian and "saved" say and I also can see for myself exactly what JESUS has to say on the matter, sooooo, what's the deal with Jesus Christ? Is he wrong, in total ignorance, doesn't have a clue and needs to check himself?

OR...

Is it that the overwhelming majority of people claiming to be Christian are in SERIOUS ERROR by stating that all one has to do to be a Christian and be saved is simply believe in, acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord and be baptized?

Ciao

*** EDIT @ 'Readyme' who responded:

"(A) The confusion here, which is good, is the underlining meaning. People who say they beileve in Jesus but they only say that but do not believe it in their hearts."

On the contrary, they believe it in their hearts, but you are missing the key reason WHY they get rejected. Here, let's see if you can find the missing word that Jesus used to show the reason why many who acknowledge him as "Lord" won't enter the kingdom of heaven. Are ya ready? Here goes:

"Only those who actually ____ the will of my Father in heaven will enter."

Next you stated:

"(B) & (C) They might go to church, give money to the poor but why are they doing this is it for selfish reasons, are they really comitted believers. Dont treat things on face value."

What about their failing to do what he said at Matthew 24:14, 28:19, 20?

Next you stated:

"(D) Bible states Matthew 7:13 NLT "You can enter God's Kingd

Update 2:

**Continued from above:

Next you stated:

"(D) Bible states Matthew 7:13 NLT "You can enter God's Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way."

And what does Jesus say at Luke 13:24 that one has to do to enter the narrow door / gate that leads to God's Kingdom (everlasting life)?

Next you stated:

"(E) this states we are not separated from God. Like a god or the God is far from a mortal human, so is a master and his slave, BUT Jesus says you are my friends, so you(we) are equals in a way. We can confide and share our troubles and pains joys and downs with eachother in bothways."

Jesus is talking about what it takes for HIM to consider someone as his friend. According to Jesus' words he states that he considers someone as his friend *IF* they do something. What did JESUS SAY that a person must do *IF* he is to view them as his friends?

It's almost as if you literally

Update 3:

** Continued from above:

It's almost as if you literally can't see (or refuse to see) what Jesus is bringing to ones attention.

I'm just sayin.

I agree with you little sister, only you didn't go far enough. (I know - there is not room enough here to address ALL the inconsistencies of professed Christians.

You are doing a wonderful job - if only one can see their belief doesn't match their profession maybe - just maybe -they will be moved to evaluate their position and start out on the road to life.

But the reason I said you didn't go far enough ( and I am sure you already know this) is the fact that in so many areas of professed Christianity the belief is almost the exact opposite of Jesus' teaching.

The example you site in the post one of many that shows Jesus' apparent igonrance of his own teachings.

I mean come on! He thought he was the Son of God, but they know better! He is God the Son.

He thought totally unrepentant sinners would die forever, but they know better! They will be tortured while living forever.

He thought most of the meek would inherit the earth, but they know better! They know the earth will be destroyed, afact that escaped Jesus' notive, and all the righteous will go to heaven.

Oh yes they know so much more than the poor igorant Son of God who worked with his Father to bring about the things he taught. One cannot help but wonder how these professed Christians gained all this knowledge of which their teacher is so unaware!

Secular society has a similar parrable too "its a rat race." everyone is too busy about themselves that when its too late, its just too late. Its easy and wide to go with the flow but where exactly are we going.

    (E) this states we are not separated from God. Like a god or the God is far from a mortal human, so is a master and his slave, BUT Jesus says you are my friends, so you(we) are equals in a way. We can confide and share our troubles and pains joys and downs with eachother in bothways.

~“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.~

Jesus told us what His Father's will is in John 6:40 ~"And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day."

Yes we do have to endure in the faith until the end. Look at this google search I did- https://www.google.com/search?q=preacher+turned+at...

These people did not endure in the faith. For whatever reason, they chose of their own free will to reject the gift God gave them. Maybe something traumatic happened in their lives, and instead of relying on God to get them through it, their love grew cold and they turned away. Bad move.

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.~Hebrews 6:4-6

"You are My friends if you do whatever I command you...These things I command you, that you love one another."~John 15:14-17

The Greek language (the language of the New Testament) uses two different words to describe and define love. The most commonly used Greek word translated "love" in the New Testament is "agape." This love is represented by God's love for us. It is a non-partial, sacrificial love probably best exemplified by God's provision for our rebellion:

"For God so loved (agape) the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16)

The gift of God's son as a provision for sin was given to all humans, regardless of who we are. God's love is unconditional.

In contrast, our love is usually conditional and based upon how other people behave toward us. This kind of love is based upon familiarity and direct interaction. The Greek word "phileo" defines this kind of love, often translated "brotherly love." Phileo is a soulish (connected through our emotions) kind of love - something that can be experienced by both believers and non-believers. This is in contrast to agape, which is love extended through the spirit. Agape love requires a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, since the non-regenerated soul is unable to love unconditionally. Agape love gives and sacrifices expecting nothing back in return.

What Jesus commands in John 15:17 is impossible and does not exist apart from Him. If our love is conditional on someone's actions in the least little bit, it does not meet God's standards.

"But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven."~Luke 6:35-37

And he brought them out and said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" So they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."~Acts 16:30-31

Jam 2:19, Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. The Devil is not going to Heaven. As such you must understand what it means when we refer to the word believe.

Man's part in salvation is to believe in Jesus Christ (Jn. 3:16; 6:28-29). What does this mean? In the English Bible, the Greek word commonly translated "believe" (pisteuo) is also translated "commit to one's trust" (Lk. 16:11; Jn. 2:24; Ro. 3:2; 1 Co. 9:17; Ga. 2:7; 1 Th. 2:4; 1 Ti. 1:11; Tit. 1:3). This is the basic meaning of believing in Christ. It means to commit myself to Him, to fully trust Him for salvation. It means to believe in such a way that I actually turn away from sin and idols and false religion to receive Jesus Christ as my only Lord and Savior.

Another Greek word translated believe or trust is peitho. It means to be confident, to be fully persuaded (Ro. 2:19; 8:38; 2 Co. 2:3; 2 Th. 3:4; 2 Ti. 1:12). This is the type of faith which is required for salvation. To be saved, a person must be fully persuaded that Jesus Christ is everything the Bible says He is. He must be confident that Jesus can and will save him from sin (He. 3:14).

This true Bible meaning of "believe" clarifies the problem of faith and works in salvation. It is faith alone, not works, which saves (Ro. 3:4; Ga. 2:3; Ep. 2:8-9; Tit. 3:3-7); but real Bible faith always results in a changed life and in good works (Ep. 2:10; Tit. 3:8; 2 Co. 5:17; 1 Jn. 3:1-3). Those who profess to believe in Christ, but whose lives remain unaffected by their profession, do not have the type of faith required for salvation.

True faith is based upon God's Word, the Bible (Ro. 10:17; He. 11). True faith is not a blind wish or uncertain hope. The lost man, for example, often believes everything will be all right with him after death no matter what religion he follows, because he "feels" that he is O.K. with God. This is blind faith. The Christian's faith, on the other hand, rests upon the sure Word of God (Jn. 20:30-31; Ac. 1:3). To have saving faith a person must hear and believe the words of the Bible concerning God's promises in Christ. To have daily, serving faith, a Christian must read the Bible often and believe its words. "So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God" (Ro. 10:17).

First of all Jesus Died Took the keys of DEATH from Satan, and now sets at the R hand of GOD! NEXT... everyone seems to be in sin in one way or another way. So lets say u go help somebody, ok, next after that you go and sin, then u go help somebody and then you go home and sin, and then u go help some body and then you go back to sin, now is that following Jesus, doing what Jesus shows us how to walk like Jesus walked on earth I don't think so! he didn't sin! understand! and that is what we sometimes do. so Jesus new you until u started sinning again and then he has no part of that life stile. because Jesus is not sin, sin is of the evil one. be blessed in Jesus name and give to those who r in need and Jesus might say come on into the kingdom of God do I know you? come on?

Just live a good life and don't criticize others for their beliefs. Doing so just makes you look scared, like you actually WANT to believe in something. Just be a good person and let others do what they want. Let the Bible be the Bible and religious freaks be religious freaks. You're just making yourself angry at others for no reason.
