When I have children I will treat them like people. I will try and give them what they need to succeed in life.

I sometimes let studies inform my parenting, if I think they are valid.

An example would be that kids who breastfeed longer have (on average) slightly higher IQs. People used to think that this was because of the nutrition of the milk, but recent studies have shown it's actually the physical contact that stimulates neuron connectivity. So we make sure our daughter has lots of physical contact, holding, playing etc. and she seems a happy and bright toddler

Number one lesson would be that religion has false teachings and then let them know the following.

The meaning of an Atheist is without (A) Theos Greek for utterances or sayings. Theist comes from the word Theos. We are all atheist if we do not believe in one another’s utterances.

All the world’s religions are made from mythology and that is a fact. The people mostly men ministering these religions are liars or very much uninformed. Dozens of Scholars confirm the fact that all these religions are based on made up mythological stories. In fact evil is written within all these man made religions but they deceive you by expecting you to have the little girl/boy mind and not question what all is in these books. Now that there is the internet we can pull up information about what is in all these religions. Take advantage of the last 200 years of real scholarly research during the age of enlightenment. There is a lot of history that surrounds all the religions that exist outside of what is written in the religious text. Here is some not so nice things the myth Jesus & new & old testament says.

Matthew 10:34. "Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.

"And that servant [slave], which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes." (Luke 12:47) He never denounced servitude, incorporating the master-slave relationship into many of his parables.

By the way the word Lord comes from Europe. A Lord was a land owner. You could not leave the Lord (land owner) without his permission. If you did you would be captured/ punished or killed by the Lord…….Look up the futile system in Europe. Why do you think our relatives left Europe? It is pure ignorance to say Jesus is Lord………

There is a damn good reason why there is a separation from religion & state. Women did not get the right to vote until the 1920's because of the cruel/misogynistic bible.

I raise my daughter to be a good honest person. She can make up her mind on religion later when she's older.

I don't consult psychologists, but I have read up on parenting in general.

You mustn't know much about psychology if you have to ask this question. Most of it is just common sense. We use it all the time without realizing it anyway...xoxo.
