There are often a couple of sliding latches that hold the battery in place.
Normally one is on a spring and one has to be slid into place.
Make sure they are both in the closed position.

it is possible the latch springs are weak or just broken but there should be the option to lock the slide and this will perhaps keep the battery in place.
If this still does not work then assuming the battery is still functioning OK then some tape over the edges of the battery will do to simply hold it in place. Not the most pretty of ways to secure your battery but in this instance the most practical.

Sounds like your battery is not fitting correctly, do you need to use a screw to keep it fixed in place like some models do and if not have a look at where it's supposed to fix together, it may be broke and therefore not able to keep on properly. If so take it to a shop or return it to the makers for a fix if possible.

There are usually two clips which are sprung that hold the battery in place. If they are broken the laptop would probably need to be taken apart by a specialist who could try to repair them for you.
