1 short beep means everything is fine, all the hardware passed the POST. Anything more than 1 short beep means a piece of hardware has failed.

So you will need to count the beeps. For example, one long beep and 3 short beeps means the video card or onboard video chip has failed. Your problem is hardware related.

Use the link the other user/poster has provided to figure out the codes.

Find your manual. The beeps are a code for a specific problem during POST (Power On Self Test).

You need to decipher those beep codes:

Those beeps are telling you that something is wrong. The sequence and length of the beeps are important to finding the problem.

Give your specs and when it stopped working, what you were doing. It might be the power supply, also, try reseating the ram.

Usually means the power supply or motherboard or fan or CPU or memory or hard-drive is dead or got a loose cable/connection.

If you built it yourself it could mean you wired it up wrong.

Cody is an idiot, you're either missing necessary components, or one or more of your components within your computer are incompatible.

So many different things could be wrong. Without actually seeing it it's impossible to say.
