What is the problem underneath my 03 Grand Am?

I was involved in a hit&run sideswipe about a week ago and since then my 03 Grand Am has been making a lot of noises around the wheels and underneath. The car that hit me was considerably smaller and hit my right front tire awfully hard. Whenever I drive the car it sounds very loud, like I can't even hear the motor running, after certain bumps it sounds like a grinding sound and when I open my window it sounds like a very loud whining sound. I suspect its a bearing but the sound cannot be pinpointed, it sounds like the entire front end of the car is messed up. I had the body shop look at it and they just estimated a $125 fix but I feel its more. I appreciate any help and/or answers. Thanks everyone.

Could be a numbers of things because there are many parts in the front suspension. You'll need to pinpoint the cause of the noise. I know, you said it can't be pinpointed. You can start by pushing down on the body of the car by the right front. That will tell you if you have a damaged strut. You can jack the car up and with the wheel off the ground try moving is left and right. If it moves you have a possible damaged tie rod or CV axle. With the car on the ground turn the wheels all the way until they stop. Any clicking noise is a definite sign of a bad CV joint. Try moving it at the 12 & 6 position. If there is play then you have a possible damaged ball joint and a possible bent control arm. Yes, the hub could be damaged especially if the CV joint was damaged.
