Why would my question just asking what seniors are eating today be deleted? What was wrong with this ?

Update:

Yes I was really interested in what people were eating on a Sunday, by the way I'm a registered dietitian maybe thats why I would be more interested in food than most?

Ahh yes, the reporting n@zis have been out in force. They probably considered it chatting and maybe thought it should have been posted in a food or diet category.

I tried posting a question yesterday six times over a course of eight hours. It was about the lyrics in a song written by Jazz singer Phoebe Snow who was popular between 1969 and 2010. First I tried deleting the links to the lyrics and the video of her singing the song, Then I put an (*) in the middle of a word because the word was "sex". The word was not used in any rude manner, the use of that word was justified in the question. But yes, six attempts at posting over eight hours before the powers that be at Yahoo Answers allowed my question to be posted. It is just incredible the rubbish they allow to stay on the internet forever and yet they refused to post a legitimate question.

the words "are eating" could have been taken as an inuendo and to prevent bad responses it was deleted. I'm sure that's the reason. Had you asked your question in a proper manner like saying you're a registered dietician and wanted to know if people go out for breakfast on Sunday mornings and what meal do they consume or prefer that might have fit your career's verbiage.

I'm doing what a lot of seniors do nowadays. My wife and I had dinner in a restaurant last night and we took home doggie bags so tonight will be another restaurant meal. We joke that on the second night we will switch meals but that doesn't work with last night's meal. We both ordered roast, stuffed chicken, baked potato and coleslaw. The cole slaw is too wet to travel well so we will have fresh asparagus with it tonight.

It might be considered chat which is against community guide lines. It is strange. I asked a question on how to go about going about getting a job in a supermarket. That was also deleted

I don't know why it was taken down, I didn't see it listed here.

Tonight we are having a meat free meal, homemade bean soup and potato pancakes with sour cream.

I do think my husband threw in a slice of bacon, he just can't help himself with the pork.

He is basically in charge of this soup dish, Hungarian style bean soup, carrots, parsnip, onion, garlic are added in the end he make a dark white sauce with paprika and adds it to the soup, very tasty.

Sometimes we have this dish with my homemade noodles but not tonight, potato pancakes are enough as a side dish.

As I said, I'm having homemade clam chowder.

I looked up some Jamaican Jerk Chicken recipes, and they looked good. I wouldn't have known about Jamaican Jerk Chicken if not for your question. So you provided me with more knowledge than anyone else on Yahoo Seniors today.

Which goes to show you how asinine the Vigilant Crusaders Against Chat are--and in particular whichever nazi moron it was who got a self-righteous thrill from deleting your posting.

It was considered 'chat'...which is a big no-no here on Y/A. It probably has more to do with someone who has some sort of delusional vendetta to carry out...or just sheer boredom, than it does with any vague and oft-violated (yet randomly unenforced) community guidelines.

Somebody with nothing better to do and a grudge against us reported you. No biggie, take heart.

I made lasagna for the first time in months and afterward we had ice cream sundaes. The dog is currently begging for a plate of lasagna but he will NOT get any, because we can eat it tomorrow. Hear that, Kipper? Heh, heh.

Left over chicken and dumplings for lunch with a salad. Tonight we'll have butternut squash bisque and a salad.

I am cooking up a mess of navy beans. Carrots, celery, and onions are included. A nice dinner roll and a glass of water to wash it down.
