Will he get signed? Or will he have to be forced to retire like Jermaine Dye did?
I agree that he should take what the Pirates give him. He played great there towards the end of the season and it's not like he'll get any better, he's already way out of his prime and close to retirement.

He's being a prissy *****. The Pirates offered him a ton of money in arbitration and he won't take it because he only wants to play for a contender that will pay him a ton of money. You can't have your cake and eat it too, so I hope he retires

he should just take the contract with the Pirates he won't get any great offer
unless a team needs a dh which the market isn't big for

I think somebody will end up giving him a minor league contract at some point this season. I think Lee has a little more left in the tank. I think maybe the Astros could use some help at first, maybe they could recruit Lee?

That depends on Derek, more than anything else. It's my understanding that he wants too much money or he wants to play for a contender... or both.
I think that the Nationals are probably the best place for him.
