Are there different Netflix packages or something? (Read more)...?
A family member of mine had signed up for Netflix a couple months ago. During recent visits we've been watching different movies and TV shows, and now I want to sign up. However, I notice they really don't have a large selection like they say. If I look at the website it says they have tens of thousands of movies. I tried searching for the Harry Potter movies and the Twilight movies, and it says they have them. But when I'm at my relatives and I search for these movies, they don't have them...
What's this about???
I understand the first month is free when you sign up, then it says $7.99 a month after that. Is there an upgraded package or something? Or why can I not find any of these movies when my relative is logged into their account? Literally, there's thousands of movies they claim to have on the website that are missing when they're actually using Netflix.

Yes Netflix has different packages, for $25 a month you get 3 dvd's at a time and instant movie streaming unlimited movies. We bought a bluray player this Christmas that streams Netflix movies for only $70 at Walmart. The instant movies are great and take less than 1 minute to load. You can get the 8 dollar deal where you get only 1 dvd at a time or the 8 dollar deal for streaming only. It's the best movie deal I have found. Netflix gets new releases 1 month later than other places but it doesn't bother me to wait a month. We watch about 18 movies a month for 25 dollars. Better than 4 dollars per movies like some stores.

Netflix has several different subscription levels. Their cheapest one only allows streaming. However not all of the movies in Netflix's library are available for streaming. This is because the rights to rent DVDs is different from the rights needed to stream. The other subscription levels also include streaming, but allow you to have 1 or more DVDs sent to your house. For instance, I don't think the Harry Potter movies are available for streaming but they are on DVD. Netflix also carries blu-ray as well. Activating the blu-ray option on an account costs an extra $1 per DVD. So if you have the 2-at-a-time subscription and want the option of getting blu-ray discs, then you'll pay $2/month more. Keep in mind that blu-ray discs only play in DVD players. DVDs meanwhile, can play in blu-ray and DVD players.

Well in the UK we can only get streaming.
In the US you can have streaming and DVD rentals by post.
The streaming is very poor and has old movies So when they say they have thousands of movies then that means the rental DVDs.
I think you can get different packages but i wouldnt know as i live in the UK.

It's more that they are not yet in your own account because they don't know that you like movies/shows like those. SO when you look it up and it says it doesn't have it still click on it to see the ones like it then "watch" those. The other ones you wanted should appear soon.
Source(s): I kept looking for Danny Phantom and then it finally showed up. they have a section called, shows/movies that viewers like you watch.
