For happiness, find beauty in the commonplace and be thankful for what you do have, not dwelling about what you don't have.Im 60--happily married--interested in computers--self taught--moderate level--All my advice is just advice, there is risk involved when working on a pc, if you are unsure how to fix one, take it to a technician. I hate the way they overcharge though, that's why I give free advice-I learned how to fix my own pc because I was mad about the cost of pc repair,I also try to build a fast pc for a low price if possible since future parts are always better and cheaper, 'How to Geek Newsletter online has lots of pc info, do a search for it...Newegg.com= best overall store for pc parts. go to Passmark software-cpu benchmarks charts for hardware comparisons-also video card info there... Pcpartspicker.com for full system overall info, Cyberpower.com 4 gaming pcs--Filehippo.com for free software. Gamebooster3-is free and good.

  • 2003 Honda CRV--computer scan?

Where does the car computer scan tool plug in on my CRV? Is there an online site for the scan codes? This is my first time using a car computer scan tool. I want to learn for myself so I can see what it is rather than to rely on what they tell me.

set back the maintenance light on my car? I keep it maintained well and it has only 40,000 miles on it. I also have a meter to check the computer in my car. If its serious I will take it to the shop but I believe they forgot to set it back the last oil change. Thank you so much for any help.......

  • Honda CRV 2003--check engine light?

my check engine light won't go off; it has only 40,000 miles on it (real mileage). I also bought a new gas cap--so that isn't it. Can't find my manual either. How do I reset it, I'm thinking it is for oil maintenance but that was changed 1500 miles ago. I'm trying to avoid a trip to the dealer. It runs great and the gauges don't indicate any problems--Thank you for any help you can give me.

  • Smart phone HTC android sd card?

The phone is a little over 2 years old and time for a new one. I'm a 61 year old guy computer smart but not so much with my phone as I'm always at my pc and don't use the fancy phone stuff much. I want to get my photos out b4 I trade it in. I found a mini sd card by the sim card (ATT is the service provider) are the photos on that card? The reason iI ask is that the card is very hard to get out and I don't want to risk breaking it if the pics aren't even on it. Thanks for any help.

  • Cookie dough and cake batter lovers?

I just ate some cake batter my wife saved for me before baking the cake. I think we should just put it in bowls like pudding. And cookie dough should be in little balls saved in the refrigerator. And no, I'm not 10 years old. I'm 60 years old but have liked these 2 things uncooked all my life. True or false, it's better before it's baked.

  • AMD cpus, would it be worth it?

to upgrade from an AMD FX-4100 to an FX-6300? I have 800w psu and a motherbaord with the right socket number. Also have a Radeon 7870 2GB video card. When looking at Youtube videos or similar would it improve the loading time? I build my own pcs and am not a noob but do like a second opinion from time to time. I also know the Intels are faster but I don't need that kind of power and I like to keep the cost more in the range of power I need. I'm also not a hard-core gamer either. The 6300 is about $140 at Newegg. I also have the money, just not sure if it's worth the cost.

  • Hard drive cache-16MB vs 64MB?

7200 rpm for both. I'm trying to get the fastest read/write time assuming I don't have a SSD. I actually do have a SSD but I'm going to build another desktop. All other hardware details I am familar with but don't know much about cache, I assume more is better.

  • Powerball cash option $198 million, what?

would be the income tax on that amount. Is it about 40% in that tax bracket? I obviously have never made anything even remotely near that much have no idea what the tax would be. My wife and I are both over 60 and yes I know it's nearly impossible to win, so we would take the cash. It's fun to dream about it and even though the odds are bad, someone close to where I live did win over 200 million last year. There must be a CPA out there who would know. I will pick best answer by tomorrow night.

  • Super pc geeks--SSD question-add ons?

I read the details on SSD hours to last and they are near 1,200,000 hours yet I read that other people say they only last 1 year or so. Which is it if you have experience with them. I've been using them for about 2 years but keep buying newer bigger ones before they wear out so I don't know myself.
