Cambell hausfeld air compressors?
Are the little 3 gal ones they sell at walmart enough to run an impact wrench? Not shop work. Just messing around in driveway.

NO... not enough cfm's ( cubic feet per minute )
you need at least a 30 gallon tank with the capacity to move at least 7cfm's

check the CFM rating on both, they have to match, usually an impact takes a larger CFM than a pancake can produce, at the best you will have to wait for the compressor to catch up, every time you pull the trigger on the wrench it will drain the compressor so fast you will have to wait for the pressure to build up again before you get the full impact. The better the impact the less CFM it will usually draw.

No! reasons are for 1 the hose they come with arent big enough. you wont get enough air fast enought to the impact. three gallons will give about a 5 seconds at a time. Id say atleast a 20 gallon with a 3/8s in air hose is about minimum. a 3 gallon would probably take about 4 mins to air up
