She was a very talented singer and I have enjoyed many of her songs. very sad that she left this world way too soon while she was still so young. She will be missed by so many.

I was not a huge fan but did enjoy her voice whenever her songs were playing anywhere.

Used to sometimes watch the reality show with her and Bobby Brown. Could see trouble brewing even then, they both seemed a bit out of it.

I do feel sorry for her family, her daughter seems to be very upset going to the hospital twice since the news of her mothers death hit.

It is sad to see anyone go before their time, makes me think of all the other that seemed to have everything but still it wasn't enough for them.

Early in her career she had a voice like no other I've ever heard. Her life will be amongst some of the greatest tragedies which also include Michael Jackson, Elvis, Amy Winehouse, and so many others. We knew we were watching a train wreck about to happen, but just didn't know when.

When I heard about Whitney's passing (and all the others,) I was saddened, but not surprised. They gave their lives to us, the fans, and will never be forgotten.

Was in the beginning, yes. Her voice was stunning. And I was completely stunned today. Except for those weekly programs with Bobby Brown, seeing her humiliate herself, even knowing from headlines how deeply entrenched in drugs she remained, and having read that she had to leave the stage she was so off-tune in a pretty recent booked performance, I still didn't expect her to have gone all out like she did last night and today. I did notice as her career went on, that she'd changed, and didn't like her as much. The people who wouldn't have surprised me to have died from drugs were never Whitney Houston, though, so her antics and the depth of how seriously involved she was, were well-hidden to the public. From what I've read, only friends knew the extent, how long, and how deeply. I think it's a tragedy felt world-wide, judging from how many works she had sold.

Yes, I am sorry to see her go too, but I wasn't a big fan of hers..I only like one of her song and that was "I Will Always Love You" which was written by Dolly Parton.. so sad how she died but that what happen when you do drugs and drink at the same time..I always say if you can't handle that kind of career "Get Out while you can"..but it seems to be too late for alot of these singers/bands nowadays..RIP Whitney..=(

I was and am a fan of hers and it's sad to lose a beautiful

person with a very beautiful voice.

Love this song - she had so many more songs to sing for us.

She was - Inspired by prominent soul singers in her family, including her mother Cissy Houston, cousins Dionne Warwick and Dee Dee Warwick, and her godmother Aretha Franklin, Houston began singing with her New Jersey church's junior gospel choir at age 11.

After she began performing alongside her mother in night clubs in the New York City area, she was discovered by Arista Records label head Clive Davis. Houston released seven studio albums and three movie soundtrack albums, all of which have diamond, multi-platinum, platinum or gold certification.

    And much more on Wikipedia.

Her down fall was meeting up with the wrong husband.

    Sad.

I've been a fan of hers for years. I own all of her albums and when her Oprah episode was on TV, I watched the premiere of it, and when her 2009 album "I Look to You" was released, I purchased it on release day. I was so sad when she passed away.

I loved her music and think she was one of a kind. So sad that drugs took over her life like so many other famous people, a terrible waste.

I was saddened when I heard she passed away at only 48 years of age. Such a beautiful voice. She was a rare talent who had so much more to give. What a tragedy.
