Exercising with doms?
I started an exercise program last week, doing some moderate cardio for an hour. My last session was on thursday, and on sunday my muscles started to get sore. I was told this was normal so I'm not worried. But I'm supposed to do another session tomorrow, and I want to know if its ok, if my muscles are still sore. I wasn't to concerned, but then did some reading and a lot of people say you should rest. But they seem to be talking about weight training. Is it ok to go to my session tomorrow if I'm just doing cardio?
Thanks
This might be a stupid question, but I've never really done any concentrated exercise before, and I want to make sure I do it right, so I don't hurt myself and end up going backwards.

You can reduce Doms by keeping well hydrated during your sessions and stretching afterwards. You may also find once your body becomes accustomed to regular exercise you will no longer get the soreness a few days later, unless you do a completely new activity.
If you last exercised on Thursday, I would say it would be fine to do a session tomorrow. Warm up well before launching into a full out workout and have a gentle stretch afterwards. Also try Developmental stretches on the most affected muscles. This is where you hold a stretch for 20-30 secs before taking the range of stretch further, holding again for 20-30 secs and then further and hold for a third time.
