Cab You Believe This?Other Parents Please Give Us Some Input?

I apologize for the length.

My friend T and I were good friends for a long time and our sons grew up together throughout their first year (they're 3 monthes apart agewise). Well, T and her husband, A,were speculated to have been on heroine prior and during her pregnancy because their son, AA, was born with a seizure disorder and infantile withdrawal symptoms. We only speculate that part, but its fact that they became bad addicts after he was born. CPS was called on them by her mother and they were given a warning.

Well, my dad, who lives by them, was driving by the other day and saw police activity.He stopped by to see what was up, and ironically the policeman there is a family friend of ours,and he divulges this:

Early that day,AA had been rushed to the hospital for a violent 15 minute long seizure.His condition doesn't allow for seizures that long and since birth he's been on treatment to control it and has actually been stable since 6 monthes old.he continues:

It was apparent in the ER that the seizures were drug induced, and blood tests show that the two year old was ODing on HEROINE. I became so livid hearing that, I couldnt believe it. Apparently AA had gotten into some of that and our friend was there to collect AR,Ts daughter from a prior relationship,who's 5. CPS has the children in protective custody and an investigation is pending.T and A were supposed to be detained from seeing the kids already and were meant to be in rehab.This shouldn't have happened.Now the kids aren't permitted to see any of their family and its just really ****** up.I had to vent,I've helped raise these kids and tried to keep them safe from their parents **** behavior but now,it all seems to have been for nothing.How could anyone be such a bad parent?AA was non with a brain/sleep apnea disorder also and no he's even more fragile bodywise.:/
