Not all of them but most of them do take a track record how many internet users are using there websites for advertisement purposes such as banks,newspapers,cars sites and many to mention few.They do not keep your ip address they just add you as a user or reader of their website.Some website do keep ip address for advertisement purposes when you browse certain website they show you the advert that is appropriate for you. If for example you are looking for a holiday in the USA they assume you that you are interested and certain sites show you hotels and things about the area that you where seeking information .

The IP address is traced thats how they know .. other then that no unless you put in oersonal information . I believe thats howit is done .

yes. when you access a website. you use your ip address. this ip address is then recorded in their data base so they would know which people are accessing their website
