Would Delusions be more...?

Would Delusions be more...?

Would it be better to live in a mad world of your creation or face the reality of what created your mad world and dive into a darker one?

What I am trying to say is, would you prefer to live in your own perception of reality, no matter how twisted it may be, then face the reality to understand what created your twisted perception knowing full well that it can only lead to darker images and perhaps utter insanity?

In the simplest way possible; Would you live in the darkness you created, or cleanse the darkness to make way for an even worse one?

Update:

There is no good outcome at the end. Just the progression from one darkness to another, and so on.

Would it be better to live in the one you created, or enter the that will exist should the original be cleansed?

If I thought that I would be permanently in the worse darkness, then I would stay in the one I created.

However, everything changes, and sometimes you have to travel through a worse darkness to eventually reach the light.

Edit: "There is no good outcome at the end." You have no way to know this. I think you're depressed.

i already have my own mad perception of reality which is probably at the limits of my understanding

have you ever heard anyone say: "you have to be a bit mad in order to stay sane" ? - i think it is possible to apply a similar concept here
