I need answers for a few baby name questions? + BQ's?
Part one:
Use these names to create four girls' combinations. I don't necessarily like all these names.
Girl 1-
First: Hailey, Agnes, Madison, Tiffany, Fiona, Gertrude, Kaylee, Isabella
Middle: Alexis, Nora, Payton, Zoe, Juliet, Tara, Casey, Jillian, Faith
Girl 2-
First: Victoria, Stella, Jessica, Emily, Katie, Eleanor, Ruby, Danielle
Middle: Xena, Quinn, Allison, Audrey, Lauren, Kyra, Jessamine, Stacy
Girl 3-
First: Brittany, Rebecca, Karen, Alyssa, Emery, Opal, Faye, Annie
Middle: Veronica, Anastasia, Kaitlin, Naomi, Cassidy, Lyra, Teagan
Girl 4-
First: Shawna, Elsie, Natalie, Holly, Kali, Aurora, Megan, Jennifer, Sophie
Middle: Meredith, Chelsea, Hannah, Lucille, Brynn, Louise, McKenna
Part two:
Give me two boys names with these initials: JC and LM. (Jasper Charles and Leo Matthew for example)
Part three:
This or that, and explain why.
Amelia or Victoria
Emma or Ella
Lauren or Carly
Tiffany or Genevieve
Zachary or Nicholas
Hudson or Gabriel
Chester or Quincy
Ronald or William
Part four:
Pretend you just gave birth to B/G twins.
Your husband likes Connor, Logan, and Casper for a boy, and Elowen, Paisley, and Aaliyah for a girl. Your mother thinks you should keep the ugly family name tradition going for the girl- Helga as her middle name.
But, you also have a few of your own favorite names in mind, and you want to give the boy Sean for a middle name, after your childhood friend.
What would you do in this situation to make everyone happy?
Part five:
How do you feel about giving your child a popular name? I love the names Sophia and Isabella, but they're super popular, so I don't think I would use them.
Thanks so much!

PART 1
Fiona Juliet
Eleanor Audrey
Opal Naomi
Aurora Lucille
PART 2
Jude Calvin and Lucas Matteo
PART 3
Amelia - Both are pretty, but I prefer the softer feel of Amelia. It's also a lot less common where I live. I know about four Victorias.
Ella - I could never get myself to like Emma. It does have a sweet sound, but it's always seemed a little childish to me. I prefer Ella as a nickname, but it does have a certain elegant charm to it.
Lauren - A lot less juvenile than Carly, which I can only imagine on a girl younger than the age of 10. I prefer Laura over Lauren, though.
Genevieve - One of my absolute favorite names. Compared to Tiffany, it's a lot more sophisticated and appealing. Tiffany's so stereotypical blonde cheerleader to me that I can't really bring myself to like it.
Nicholas - A pretty recent favorite of mine. I'm not sure why I'm just now starting to like it, but it's very handsome. I dislike Zachary and prefer Zachariah.
Gabriel - Hudson's pretty cute, actually, but it'd be a guilty pleasure of mine if anything. I adore the nickname Gabe.
Chester - Neither are bad, but I slightly prefer the boyish charm of Chester.
William - Ronald falls into the category of classics that aren't bad and that I don't dislike, but don't do anything for me (along with Edward, Eugene, Warren, Peter, etc.) I quite like William, definitely an oldy but goody. There's always the more quirky nickname of Liam.
PART 4
Definitely choose Casper Sean for the boy. Therefore there's a name that my husband likes (and one that I like, too) and a name that I want to incorporate. It's a pretty equal choice. As for the girl, I'd go with Elowen Helga. I quite like Elowen, so that wouldn't be a problem. If my mother was set on keeping the family tradition going, I'd be fine with Helga. I'm a big fan of family names, anyway.
PART 5
Really depends...there are names that people claim are so popular (Ava, Chloe, Olivia) when in reality, I know none. If a name were super popular in my area, there's not a good chance that I would even start liking it in the first place. I tend to steer clear of them. But if it were one I REALLY loved, of course I'd use it.

1. Madison Juliet
2. Eleanor Audrey
3. Alyssa Naomi
4. Megan Brynn
Jackson Conner
Jameson Colton
Lucas Mason
Liam Michael
Amelia- cuter nicknames i.e. Amy, Mia, etc. I hate Victoria's nicknames i.e. Vicki, Tori, etc.
Emma- Ella seems like a little girl's name
Lauren- classic, nice name
Tiffany- not a huge fan of either, but this one is less old lady
Zachary- love Z names
Gabriel- love the nickname Gabe
Quincy- Chester the molester...enough said
William- love the nickname Liam
I would do whatever made my husband and I the happiest. After all, they would be OUR children, not my mother's. I would name them: Logan Sean and Lila Paisley
I agree with you sometimes but other times I don't care. In the end, it won't matter to me if my child has the most common name or a unique name because the child will be unique in their own way. I know a million Lauren's but not one is the same so I don't even think about the fact that they have the same name.

Girl 1-
Madison Faith "Maddy"
Girl 2-
Katie Allison
Girl 3-
Annie Lyra
Girl 4-
Sophie Lucille
Part two:
Jacob Carson
Lucas Michael
Part three:
Amelia or Victoria: Amelia. For some reason, the name Victoria sounds evil to me.
Emma or Ella: Ella. I don't like the "muh" sound in Emma.
Lauren or Carly: Carly. It sounds cute and spunky.
Tiffany or Genevieve: Genevieve. Tiffany sounds like a valley girl name.
Zachary or Nicholas: Nicholas. It sounds stronger and more masculine.
Hudson or Gabriel: Gabriel. I love biblical names, and I love the nickname Gabe!
Chester or Quincy: Quincy. Quin would be a cute nickname, and Chester sounds kind of goofy.
Ronald or William: William. Ronald reminds me of Ronald McDonald.
Part four:
Hmm...I'd have Logan Sean & Elowen Helga "Ellie".
Part five:
I prefer names that are less common (growing up with a popular name like Emily, I hate always having 2-3 people in my class with my name), but I don't think having a common name is awful. It's better than having a trashy, made-up one. At least you know no one will ever mispronounce it!

It wouldn't matter to me if the name was popular or not. The biggest thing in my opinion is whether the sound of the name flows well.

Part 1:
Kaylee Nora
Eleanor Audrey "Ellie"
Emery Naomi
Kali McKenna
Part 2:
Jace Cameron & Lyle Mace
Part 3:
Victoria... Because It's my mommys name & ice never been a huge fan of Amelia.
Ella... I hate Emma & Ella is adorable.
Carly... I don't like Lauren. I'd spell it with a K though.
Genevieve... Tiffany is incredibly boring.
Nicholas... It's my favorite boys name.
Hudson... It's cute.
Quincy... Chester is just weird.
William... Richard is a bad name.
Part 4:
They would be Casper Sean & Paisley Helga.
Part 5:
I'm the same as you. I love Sophia & I love Avery but they're both popular so is hesitate to use them. Grace & Nicholas are the exceptions. Those are my two favorite names.

1.
~*Fiona Juliet
~*Eleanor Allison
~*Opal Lyra
~*Aurora Brynn
2.
~*Judah Cornelius
~*Luca Martinius
3.
~*Amelia, I like the flow and sound better.
~*Ella, It's a bit more unpopular than Emma.
~*Lauren, not a fan of either, but Lauren sounds like Loren, which is a name I really like.
~*Genevieve, I've never liked the sound of Tiffany.
~*Nicholas, I know a really awesome person with this name.
~*Gabriel, It's strong and handsome. Hudson just doesn't sound right in my ears.
~*Chester, although I'm not a big fan of either, I choose this cause Quincy is just ugly.
~*William, I think it's prettier.
4. Naming a child have to be a mutual decision between the mother and father of the child. I don't like the names Connor, Logan and Casper, so I wouldn't want to name my child that. Helga is just downright horrible, and I couldn't care less about what my mother thinks that I should name my baby. Elowen and Paisley are fine names, I just don't think I'd use them as first names. So I guess we would have to go back to the drawing board, and decide on two name combinations that we both are happy with.
5. When the time comes, I will try to avoid it. I've never gone with the flow, and I've always liked strange and uncommon names, so I don't think I'd ever name my child a popular name, although I like a lot of names that are popular.

~ 1 ~
- Isabella Juliet "Belle"
- Eleanor Audrey "Nora"
- Opal Veronica
- Sophie Lucille
~ 2 ~
- James Callum
- Leo Marceau
~ 3 ~
- Amelia (I really love both, but I dislike the nicknames for Victoria, while I love Millie, Mia, and Mila as nicknames for Amelia.)
- Emma (Emma seems softer and more feminine, although Ella is pretty too and a bit spunky.)
- Lauren (I don't particularly like either name, but I hate the "Carl" part of Carly.)
- Genevieve (Genevieve sounds more sophisticated)
- Nicholas (I hate the nickname Zach, but I do like the nicknames Nick, Nico, or Cole.)
- Gabriel (Although I do like some surnames as names, Hudson doesn't quite work as a first name for some reason.)
- Quincy (Although I would never use it, I like the sound of Quincy.)
- William (William works on any one. Also, I love the nickname Liam.)
~ 4 ~
I would let my husband pick the boys' first name (I like Logan the best out of those.), and Sean would be the middle name, because that would be my choice. I would pick the girl's first name (Alice is my favorite name, so that's what it would be.), and I would make the middle name Helga to please my mother. So, they would be named Logan Sean and Alice Helga.
~ 5 ~
I generally do not care if a name is at the lower end of the top fifty, or even in the top ten. However, I would never use a name in the top five, because I have always enjoyed having a unique name, while my sister hates her common name. Luckily, most of my favorite names are nowhere close to the top of the lists.

Part 1:
Gertrude Zoe "Rudy"
Eleanor Audrey
Faye Cassidy
Elsie Lucille
Part 2:
Judah Carpenter & Leon Miller
Part 3:
Amelia
Ella
Lauren
Genevieve
Nicholas
Hudson
Quincy
William
Why? I prefer those names to the other. I prefer more classic, less trendy, softer names.
Part 4:
Casper Sean & Elowen Helga
Part 5:
I personally am not into popular names. I do however love classic names. I try to find names that are classic and old fashioned but still have something unique about them. There are some names that I love that are really out there. I'm not sure I would use them, but I'll always love them. Like the names Change and Noble for girls. I love them. Noble isn't as out there, but Change is, yet somehow it seems grounded and pretty. There are some common names I LOVE such as, Elisabeth, Chelsea & Amelia. I also have a soft spot for Lily as a middle name!

1 -
Isabella Juliet
Danielle Audrey
Alyssa Naomi
Aurora Lucille
2 -
Jack Connor & Levi Morgan.
3 -
Amelia - I like both names, but prefer Amelia as a first name. I dislike most of the potential nicknames for Victoria {Vick, Vicky, Tori}, but I do have it on my list as a middle name.
Ella - Ella is more elegant than Emma. I feel like Emma is too childish.
Lauren - More stable as a name. Carly sounds more like a nickname.
Genevieve - Love this name! Tiffany is too 80's for my liking, and there's something about Genevieve's charm that draws me to the name.
Nicholas - Nicholas has always been a favorite name of mine, and it is closer to my heart than Zachary.
Gabriel - Hudson reminds me too much of the Hudson River, or a surname. Gabriel is a strong, masculine name.
Quincy - Chester will always make me think of "Chester, the child molestor", so because of that awful connotation, I choose Quincy. Quinn would also be a cute nickname.
William - Though it's the more common classic, I find it much more attractive than Ronald.
4 - Compromise is the best solution in a situation like this.
I would suggest Connor Sean to my husband. I feel that it would be a great compromise between the two. As for the girl, I do not like any of those names, so I would probably go back to the drawing board with him until we can find a name we both like. Regarding using the name Helga, I would only use it if I felt it was special enough for my little girl. I wouldn't use it just because my mother wants me to. Then again, my mom and I are close, and the name Helga would probably be a significant name to me as well, so I would probably use it.
5 -
I see nothing wrong with it, especially considering there are plenty of lovely common names. I adore Sophia and Isabella too, but would never use them personally. If someone loves the name enough, they should use it despite how common it may be.
