How would one analyze the ethos, pathos, and logos of the CNN website?
Like a sentence on each. I think I have it down, but it's all spread out, could you give me a clear cut example or explanation of each by looking at the CNN website?
P.S
Turner Broadcasting System. CNN. Cable News Network, 20 Feb. 2012. Web. 20 Feb. 2012. <http://www.cnn.com/%3E.
so when I do in quote citations, do I put Turner in parenthesis (Turner)?
Thank you!

Ethos- You want to convince the audience you are qualified to speak on the topic. A doctor or a mother would both be examples of people qualified to talk about abortion, as both could be very close to the issue, and are therefore qualified to speak about it.
Pathos- You want to convince the audience through emotion. An example would be making the audience feel sympathy for the unborn who are unceremoniously vacuumed or scrambled into oblivion from the warm and trusting mother's womb. In short, anything to evoke emotion.
Logos- Simply, using logical argument to make your point. In our abortion example, you could use statistics about the dangers to the mother, or the laws that charge a person who kills a pregnant woman with two murders, or any other logical fact that supports your point. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=201101... ------------------ How would I cite the online websites of CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=200902...
