Wind up clock is slow; regulator is set to max. Help me :(?

I have an old wind up clock, and it seems to lose a few minutes every 12 hours.. 5-15 minutes. It has a regulator, and it is set to fast, but it is still losing time.

Is there any way to fix it?

This is a small wind up clock, not a grandfather clock.

    Get a can of spray Tri-Flow at the hardware store. Spray the mechanism and let it drip dry. It will run like new.

    Yes, I think a drop of light oil in just the right place would help.
