  • What happens if a coinstar gets filled up while I am using it?

Lets say I had $100 in pennies, and I start to take these to a coinstar. Half way through, the machine gets full. What happens? would it still take all of them and overflow, or will it undercut me if I already put the coins in the chute.

    Thanks

  • Is it legal to use Canadian coins in the US?

Is it legal, and is it acceptable to use Canadian coins in the US?

I mean, because they are the exact same size, would businesses have the right to refuse me if I tried to give them a Canadian quarter or dime instead of a US one?

Likewise, could I give a roll of dimes or quarters with a few Canadian ones mixed in and still be alright?

I ask this because many times I've gotten a Canadian coin in my chance, and even last week when I got a roll of dimes from the bank, I had two Canadian ones in it!

    Thanks

  • Websites to buy silver/gold bullion?

I'm looking into investing in silver and/or gold, but I'm finding it hard to find a site (or even a local shop) that would sell simple bars of silver or gold by the oz or troy oz.

Has anyone done this, or do they know of a reputable website that sell it?

    Thanks

  • Can you make lose leaf tea in a coffee maker?

Could you, say, put lose leaf tea in a coffee maker much like you would do with coffee grinds?

I'm curious as to how it would work, if at all.

    Thanks

  • Best syrup in a chai latte @ Starbucks?

So far I have tried cinnamon syrup in a chai latte. It is good, but what would you reccomend?

Someone told me to try gingerbread, but they do not have that flavor yet!

  • Other flavored chai latte @ starbucks?

Starbucks menu is CONFUSING! It is hard enough getting the 2-3 people working there to name off all the syrups they carry..

    So, a question.

I know a latte is steamed milk with espresso.. A coffee drink, and that you can have them add flavor syrups to that. That is all well and good, but I don't particurally like coffee drinks.

I like their chai lattes, though. I'm wondering if there is some kind of way to order a latte WITHOUT espresso, like the chai.. If it is, what do I have to ask for? I want to try other syrups, but not in a coffee drink :(

    Thanks!

  • How to keep sugar dry?

Somehow, moisture keeps getting into my sugar jar and making it harden into clumps. Is there any reliable way to keep moisture out of it?

I've tried using crackers and rice in the jar in the past... It never turns out well.

Would it be a good idea to put one of those packets that often come in medicine, to keep moisture out?

I see pidgins, crows, chickens and a bunch of other birds, they always move their head back and forth when they walk.

Other birds like sparrows, don't really walk but hop.

  • Wind up clock is slow; regulator is set to max. Help me :(?

I have an old wind up clock, and it seems to lose a few minutes every 12 hours.. 5-15 minutes. It has a regulator, and it is set to fast, but it is still losing time.

Is there any way to fix it?

This is a small wind up clock, not a grandfather clock.

  • Stability of ceiling fan, worried it is unsafe?

Our house is fairly old, and it has a ceiling fan in the living room.

Over the past few years, it has begun to sink lower. It appears to be only supported by one.. thing. It wobbles when the fans is set on high, and if you turn it on high from not moving at all, the whole thing rotates.

I'm worried that one day it will be turned on and crash down.

How would I go about taking it down? I don't care if I have to get a saw and cut the thing down, I just don't want a heavy fan falling down breaking everything and or hurting my dog.

  • Y! Answers acting WEIRD!!! Can't access account?

Alright, I'm a little distraught here and thought my account was suspended. Here is what happened

I have the page with saved searches bookmarked and go on it during breaks from class

Cookies expired this morning so I had to log in. I did, got to my email, went to answers

However it was asking me to make a new account to "get started".

However my account was not suspended or anything. I could access my profile and questions via my email notifications from last week.

So, I have another yahoo mail account that I used to answer a few questions years ago. I logged in and couldn't access THAT account, either!

Now I finally managed to get into my account by clicking a link in my pulse.

Is yahoo doing server maintenance or something? I'm confused and worried :(

  • Are most costly HDMI wires worth it?

I'm wondering if there is any major difference between the $100 and $10 HDMI cables? The distance between my TV and HD box is less then 3 feet, and I am finding it hard to justify spending $100 on a 6ft gold plated wire when I could buy a $10 3-foot cable.
