Drinking while on Topirmate?
Hey, i'm on Co-topiramate, I've been on it for about a month now. i used to be on it a couple years ago, but i wasn't legal drinking age. Now i am Legal drinking age, and was wondering is it really safe to drink at all while being on this drug? i'm not saying getting drunk, i don't do that. but having a glass of wine, or a margarita?
have you had bad effects from being on this drug and drinking?

No, do not drink alcohol at all. If you have then call the poison control. Mixing drugs and alcohol can be deadly. A glass of alcohol is not very safe either. So don't drink. It also can depend on the drug facts on the back of most medicines. If it is a "over-the-counter" drug (meaning you just buy it, you do not need a doctor to give it to you) then it will cause a problem, it could make the drug stop working, or it might cause a health concern, it depends I do not know what kind of drug you are taking, if you drink alcohol with a Prescription drug (meaning that the doctor has to give it to you.) Then it is a problem. So just call 1-800-222-1222 (poison control) if you did drink. They will just say what to do, and give advice, you will also need the box/bottle. IF you did not drink, then you can call if you want and ask the question, if you are curious. I hope this helped, if you did drink the call a doctor or poison control.
