You're darn right it is! It's just another attempt by those communists that are in power in our nation to take away the rights and freedoms of the people of America. I have a suspicion that it is also an attempt to stop religion from getting back into our public schools where it belongs. I sure as heck don't want my children growing up thinking that they need to drive those sissy "environmental" cars and stop pollutin' like those liberal hippies want.

That's for sure except your statement, "taking away wealth from hard working oil companies." That isn't their only purpose it is to take away wealth from everybody except their 'in group'. One need look no further than the present US administration to see that.

Some parts of his theory were a bust and some parts have been used to advance man but you never never saw him setting up a UN or League of Nations function to bend the masses into believing his theory or to pay taxes to his high and mightiness. You never saw him scream for money for research and give back false data then ask for more money. You never saw him say the solution to any problem was a massive transfer of wealth.

The closest to politics he ever got to was with the income tax. He suggested a better way to compute the return but it was too complicated to be understood by the US government and wasn't taken seriously. He let it go for he had better things to do.

In a way. The Earth is warming, and we are responsible, in part, for it. However...

That's not necessarily a bad thing. Some species can't handle it and will go extinct. Others will thrive. It's called 'evolution.'

Our input to global warming is dwarfed by other factors, namely volcanos. There's another volcano that may erupt soon (we aren't sure when yet, its kind of unique, wont get into that here), but anyway that volcano will put off more ash and carbon pollution than we could have created in a thousand years.
