The Avengers Comic (from the beginning)?
Okay so before I watch "The Avengers" in May. I want to know the beginning of there story from a comic. I want to know which Comic will give me all the information about how they became one, it could be old comic or the new comic from today as long as I know how they became one and who they faught. Thanks and yes Ultimate Avengers will work to (if they have it).

The avengers have been around since the 60s and have been evolving ever since. The original Avengers were Iron Man, Thor, Ant Man, and Wasp. Hulk was the reason that they all banded together, and Captain America was found and unfrozen in issue #4.
The movie obviously doesn't follow this very well, considering Ant Man and Wasp are nowhere to be found, and the original Avengers got together long before Hawkeye and Black Widow were even introduced (They were originally villains, by the way).
There is no single comic that will tell you the entire history of the avengers, like I said the tales of the Avengers have been going on for more than 50 years.
