Depending on how 'little' or how 'bad', you might be able to get a Capital One card. That was my first card, I had little credit at the time and was able to get a $300 credit limit. If you Google 'Capital One Find My Card' you can go to their page where you can do a soft inquiry and it will tell you if you may be qualified for a card. Soft inquiries don't hurt your score. Any time you enter your full SSN it will cause a hard pull and too many of those don't look good on your credit. If you don't qualify for a Capital One, you probably won't qualify for any other non secured cards (except maybe an HSBC card) as this is many people's first card. I only recommend Capital One because this is the one I have personal knowledge and experience with. If you're looking for a secured card, the main ones are HSBC, Orchard Bank, Capital One and Bank of America. I wouldn't apply for the BoFA once if your situation is as described because they are the most likely to turn you down as they have the strictest criteria of the four. Once you get a card it will have an annual fee and a high APR. If it is non secured your credit limit will also be low. Regardless of the card you get, be responsible and you'll most likely qualify for better cards down the road. Good luck.

None of the banks will give credit cards based on your question. You need a secured credit card (debit card) and you can get those at several banks. Just google secured credit card and you will have a card in hand in a couple weeks.
