I was just diagnosed with a yeast allergy, and i was wondering if there is anything I can do to get rid of it?
I was just diagnosed with a yeast allergy the other day by a naturopathic doctor, and I was wondering if there are any ways to help possibly get rid of the allergy besides cut back on yeast containing foods? I was told by the doctor that there is the possibility of outgrowing the allergy, especially if I avoid yeast for awhile. However I don't really want to have to cut back on those foods unless absolutely absolutely absolutely necessary. I dont think the allergy is that severe--I have not had any obvious signs of an allergic reaction. But can someone please give me some answers?? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated

Yeast allergies usually leave you with less energy, sometimes dark circles under your eyes, upset tummy and trouble breathing or sleeping well.
If you have any of these and want to be better, avoid yeast. If you don't care about your health or looks, eat whatever the hell you want.
Why did you go in the first place and pay all that money if you weren't going to pay attention? I'll bet you aren't paying the bill ....

i AGREE WITH YOU ONE HUNDRED PERCENT.I think first vet should have expressed his anal gland first thing. I men they had to be full and he should have done it out of courtesy since most people have a hard time doing this them selves. The only thing I am not sure of is how to proceed after this. I think I would make an appointment with old vet without dog and show him paperwork from new vet and point blank ask " Why didn't you express his anal glands while he was here .It could have saved my dog discomfort and me a lot of money." Then you will just have to see what he says. Tell him that you looked it up on the internet and he should have been trained well enough to realize that could have been your dogs problem and if not you have no intention of continuing to use him as your vet.In these tough time he may want to keep you as a client and offer you some kind of compensation or he may just be an a hole who doesn't care. What an awful experience for you and your dog.

Yeast is related to molds. You are probably also allergic to mold. If you went to an allergist and had desensitization shots, that would probably get rid of your yeast allergy.

I tend to be skeptical about naturopathy, homeopathy and various natural practitioners. When I was very ill, I tried many things and spent a lot of money. Very little of it worked.
