Going to do High Jump in Track. Never done it before. Any Advice?

I have never even tried a High Jump. I am 13 and 5'10" they said I would be a natural, but I'm not sure. I'm really excited, but also nervous. Any websites, tips, or advice would be great! Thanks!

I was a high jumper in high school! You will love it once you get the hang of it! One big thing is to watch others quite a bit to get the technique down. Start without a bar to get the hang of it, then add in the bar very low and work your way up! Your height gives you a huge advantage! I'm only 5'6", but was also a gymnast, so that helped me a lot. Enjoy! :)

Honestly, I would smoke a bowl everyday before, during, and after practice. This will improve your jump naturally and will help you enjoy the sport a lot more. This is something many have done.

Wow, you're a tall one for a 13 yr. old. That's good for a high jumper.
