Do you agree with Obama that poultry producers should regulate themselves?
http://www.sodahead.com/united-states/privatized-m...
A report done on some factories that already do self-regulation found that almost 63% of the poultry they produce are contaminated. 95% of the contamination is fecal matter.
But it would save the USDA 100 million a year and it would save the poultry producers over 500 million a year.
It is the conservative position, this is a Republican bill that Obama supports, yes, it happens.

So save $600 million while everyone eats sh!!t?
Obama makes the dumbest decisions.

If Obama really does want that, I'm surprised. The bigger government's involvement, the more unionized employees and thereby a larger, happier Democratic constituency.

This is a conservatives' wet dream....self regulation.
Look at all that money we save! Who cares about kids eating contaminated chicken!

Isn't it the conservative position that government regulation is bad? Patriot Pat is correct, and I don't know anyone who eats chooks raw.

The regulations are as strict as they've ever been. Everyone I know eats lots of poultry and we're all doing just fine. I don't believe those reports.

Most raw meat is usually full of stuff that would make you vomit.
However, when you cook the meat, it usually kills whatever is in there.
