Can you write a poem about a yap friend you admire ? and perhaps we can try to figure it out?

Oh and once someone has written about someone - you cannot reciprocate - it has to be someone else. K?

I love that she is from Texas and drinks tea

instead of coffee.

Her colloquial speech is all her own

I never have problems understanding

her good intent

Faced with adversity she holds a brave face,

and inspires such admiration in me

that I want to be better - just because

she is indeed a true and stalwart friend.

Starch she has, strength and subtlety.

Her mind is a needle cloaked in soft

soothing words.

You are safe with her, never afraid.

she will hold you in her hand

with the same care she bestows on the birds.

Update:

Oh This is going splendidly!

Update 2:

Sandy Giggles - have missed you! I never knew he was from Minnesota. I always thought Wisconsin. But hey - Maybe Cheesy is from Wisconsin, :))

Update 3:

Taghi - I hope you are well in that country you come from. You know we always worry for you. Be safe.

I know of a lady who hails from a land

    of snowstorms and maple delights.

She’s friends with a Bear who will sit on command

and poop in a place out of sight.

    This girl that I know, she’s a hoot-and-a-half

with a streak that’s decidedly sweet.

She’ll say you were ‘tossed’ (like a midget giraffe)

at the same time she’s tickling your feet.

A voice like an angel--just up from a dream

A smile that’s been known to melt steel.

Her heart is a cone of the softest ice-cream

Her eyes came from a baby seal.

She likes to say ‘Eh?’ and occasion’ly ‘Phfffft!’

An ‘ah’ thrown in for good measure.

I’m hoping the two of us make a good fit

Her friendship is something I treasure.

    Write a poem about a friend ...

Now that would just depend ...

on how friendliness can end ...

and drive me round the bend!

Admire, did you just simply say?

A friend you think is so okay ...

and we will try to work it out ...

and we will all yell and shout ...

We don't know who you are talking about?

and you don't know me without one doubt!

Yet you might like to know me if my words fit your bill ...

and my heart can alight on your friendly windows sill ...

I am such a good poet and I already know it ...

but far too humble to explode as we show it ...

This little old lady just fell onto this page ...

and never will tell you of her rightful age ...

Funny and witty and how do you all do?

I never met you but I surely do want to!

You will all love me and think I'm a freak ...

because I am shy but I'm also so unique!

Not so unfamiliar and promising to be good ...

May I sit in this corner and knock on wood?

Source(s): Flossy ain't bossy but she sure is brave ... and all that she wants is a soul to save!!!
  • Cheesey's is about Lizzie.

He lured me here with luscious tales

Of dairy delights and Greek entrails.

The flame wars he lead me over to

Made R&S look like a petting zoo.

His compadre's astonishing talent did stun

Me when I saw an actual poet among

The tattered band of budding bards.

His pre-eminence leaves full many egos in shards.

There's a Canadian chick who also loved a BadBeast

We go back so far she was at my e-wedding feast

I found her again, still rhyming away

It's quite comfy here, so I've decided to stay.

(There's 3 of them in mine)

Hey there. I cannot write a poem right now for such a title since I'm having tough time resurfacing my inspirations but I enjoyed reading the poems a lot. You have started a great topic. I love it when friends admire each other and I admire all of my friends including you Beth. :)

  • This is difficult, but not impossible! Let me try to put a "Ski-spin" on it.

    One whose opinions I don't always enjoy hearing;

yet I know they are honest, pure and...well, help me to learn.

The location of this poet to me is unknown

so my feeble attempts at description are all you have.

Only having seen the picture, it's hard for me to imagine

    the personality which within resides.

    Strength, worry and love

    has made small lines early;

but those we will all get some day.

A fount of knowledge I have found,

with each critique of my stumbling works.

I look forward to seeing every one

that this ONE-derful person has told me

    what is wrong and right.

Never mean, even though somewhat insulated

still is wonderfully nice and says things peacefully.

    Strong and great to listen to;

her friendship is something I'd fancy.

She lives in a world of her own

And roams the universe for smiles

With words beyond sublime well toned

    Without structured meter but guile

okay, you took my first thought so here be another....

he writes of childhood with flare

each line a puzzle piece to find

and sometimes it seems he doesn't care

and he even crosses the line

but if you look deeply enough

his words have meaning for us all

    many say he is rough

but I have cried, as I recall

at some words he has written

and a jokester he likes to portray

    from Minnesota he does reign

    Ok I'll try

There's a new poet on the Yap

    I new form the start

    that she was Great .

The kind that's down to earth

Wont judge you our try to hurt

She's kind and sweet , she's so nice

the kind of poet I'd be honed to meet

I no that she'd tell my strait gide me and never lie to me

Shes just -the salt of the earth justme justme thats comes

    from justme :)

I no it's a CRAP poem but it's just how I see her Lovely.

    Yowee!

Oh my gosh there might be a few, and I will try.

    "She's been dismissed at times,

and even by her own admittance, doesn't always rhyme

but for me, relating, there are ties that bind.

    If you want flowerty platitudes,

    expect please, her lattitude

and don't take offense at the attitude

    dellivered "in your face"

    with no desire to displace

    she also shares exquisite grace.
