Army Medic Training...?
If I have my EMT-B, will the Army provide paramedic training? Or should I just finish my paramedic certifications and THEN enlist? I want to end up as a flight medic - or the equivelant there of. I just don't want to waste any more time in school if I could already be enlisting. Hopefully that makes sense. :/

If you enter 68w school with your EMT-B then you will be pushed forward to a class that has already completed that part (which is over half the course!), its very nice since when you go to the class (company) that is already finished with EMT you get more privaleges. also the ARMY at this time is not recognizing paramedics since the 68W scope is greatly extended already.
Just to give you a heads up, the ARMY IS going to start training all flight medics as Paramedics, this is new and not yet in effect. To be a flight medic it will not matter if you are already an paramedic. you still have to complete the flight medic course which is somthing you can apply for after you graduate 68W school and are in your unit.

Currently the Army is transitioning to EMT-P for all active duty flight medics. The course of action is for all E-6 to be certified EMT-P first, then E-5, and then junior flight medics, of which there will be very few, since the training is 9 months.
Your first option is to enlist, then after you are assigned to a unit keep requesting orders to an air MEDEVAC unit. Once there they'll send you to the EMT-P training when it's your turn.
Another option is to finish EMT-P school and then enlist, then keep requesting your unit release you to an air MEDEVAC unit, once there you'll be a step ahead of other new Soldiers since you're already EMT-P.
Keep in mind that every medic and his brother wants this training now that it's available, so you're going to keep to have better PT scores, rifle marksmanship scores and everything else better than than the next applicant.

The military doesn't have paramedics
Only spec ops medics are paramedic trained and a very few flight medics
as a female, your not gonna be a flight medic on a sar bird

The army trains 68W (Health Care Specialist aka medic) as EMT-B in part of their training. As for paramedic training, you should ask your recruiter.
