  • Army Medic Training...?

If I have my EMT-B, will the Army provide paramedic training? Or should I just finish my paramedic certifications and THEN enlist? I want to end up as a flight medic - or the equivelant there of. I just don't want to waste any more time in school if I could already be enlisting. Hopefully that makes sense. :/

  • Can anyone answer a few computer questions?

I need a new computer. I want a desktop. These two things will not change.

Okay, here's the beef: The computer will be used for internet, video/tv online watching, homework doing and mostly Sims 3 (with two expansion packs) and Diablo II gaming.

My question is that I need to upgrade my video card, so which one do I get? I know *nothing* about the insides of a computer. I have a tech guy who will put it in for me and do all that jazz, but I don't want to ask him because well... I already feel stupid enough so... :/ yeah. Also, I was wondering about RAM... is that something I should upgrade too?

    Thanks :")

  • Older tattoo itching?

I have a tattoo on my forearm, just after the bend in my elbow that's recently started itching sometimes. It's not particularly dry or anything, it just... itches. I had it done in February of 2010 so it's not new and in fact, even when it was new, it never flaked off or really scabbed over too much. The guy who did it was absolutely awesome. I cleaned it and used the Aquaphor on it like he said for as long as he said. Like I said, this is a pretty recent thing, it comes and goes. Any advice on this? I'm not going to mess up my ink by scratching it too much am I?

  • Explain copying errors in DNA?

"Explain how an error in copying DNA for an egg or sperm could result in an offspring with a protein that works differently than the same protein in the parents."

This is the question on my lab sheet. I understand that a copying error is a mutation, but I don't really understand what he's asking. Any suggestions?

  • Replacing a 1972 Honda CB450 clutch?

My Dad has bestowed upon me a 1972 Honda CB450 (obviously) with a few problems.

A: It needs a new clutch.

    B: It's been sitting since 1992.

C: It was last tagged in 1986.

The last two issues I can deal with seperately. It's the first one that I'm lost on. When he says "You need to replace the clutch." Does he mean "clutch PLATES"? Is a clutch and clutch plates the same thing? I can take it to my brother to do the work, I just need to know what to buy.

  • Biology/Genetics help?

A woman who is heterozygous for freckles and a carrier for PKU disease marries a man who is also heterozygous for freckles and a carrier for PKU disease. List the probability for each of the four possible phenotypes (not genotypes) in their offspring.

I've worked this question for the better part of an hour. I'm still lost. I did the punnett square with the mother being "Ffpp" and the father the same, but I'm not coming up with the correct answer. Can anyone help me?

  • What is the phenotype for PKU?

My professor asks the following question on a lab worksheet:

A man and a woman are both carriers for PKU disease. What is the possible phenotype for their children?

As far as I know, PKU does not have any phenotypical influence on an organism's observable traits, is he talking about maybe the way the chromosomes look? How would you answer this question?

  • I need to know three different political arenas.?

I know that a political arena is "a sphere of intense political activity." But... what does that MEAN? Is my professor looking for answers such as "abortion, gay rights and ending the war." or something else? I'm so lost! :) Thank you!

  • My 2005 PT Cruiser has this horrid sulfur smell...?

I know it *could* be the catalytic converter, my question is *could* it be the o2 sensor causing the smell? Or do just the cats cause the smell?

It seems that the smell comes whenever the engine has heated up to a normal level, although, I could only be smelling it when I'm at a drive thru or sitting in traffic. So I don't know if it's doing it just after I start it or not. Also, it is running kind of rough... really... I just need to know if an o2 sensor can cause the smell or not >.>

  • Differentiate between a single and double chromosome?

I saw the old question on this, which doesn't help at all lol, all my study guide says is exactly what I've asked. I think I understand, a single chromosome is what is in a daughter cell after division and a double chromosome is where the single chromosomes come from? Or do I have this bass ackwards?

  • The name of this video game?

All I remember is that you start out in a diner and can't remember how you got there, pretty sure there's a dead guy on the floor and blood on your hands. You then go through the game making decisions which result in changes on the story based on your choice. There's one part where you choose to save or not to save a kid drowning in a frozen pond. You also change characters in different chapters, you also play the cop who's searching for the main character... it's insane, but pretty sweet. :)
