Hello Shelly.. No it wont break your mower, but the mower sure will distroy your arrow. Almost every archer has buried an arrow in the dirt or grass at one time or another, it happens. Just keep looking for it, you`ll find it. Best of luck.....15 year target archer

There is no problem. I have lost countless arrows in my back yard. Some of the posters don't realize the arrows have a habit of sometimes sliding completely under the grass, and not even the fletching is visible.
When they go out of sight like that, I have found the best thing to do is to cut the area in which you lost the arrow super close with the lawn mower. When you do this, most of the time you will be able to see the fletching of the arrow showing through the grass.
You wont find all of the ones you lose, but it works fairly well.

I enjoy reading the answers of people who dont hunt, or even know anything about a bow.
Your lawn mower will be perfectly fine, you'll be lucky to even hit the arrow... in 500 years all the arrows in my yard (Where ever they went too..) will be rare artifacts lol.

Back in the day, aluminum arrows were the rage, and we quickly learned that we needed a metal detector to find them sometimes.
Your arrow is probably carbon fiber, so that won't help.
I don't think you'll ever hit it with the mower if you can't find it. You don't mow under your lawn. A de-thatcher might fine the wayward shaft.

Edit: look sweetie its not hard to loose a arrow in the grass I've done it myself. They can just slide down next to the ground and my yard is well mowed

Um, just a suggestion here, but before you mow the lawn, why don't you simply pick the arrow up.

Lol. What a ridiculous question. I can't believe I have to be the one to tell you to simply move the arrow from the lawn the next time it's going to be mowed.
