Just like some people are blessed with natural abilities
like in Music or Mathematics, people can have abilities
to sense what others around them are thinking, not in a
very specific mind reader sort of way but in being sensitive to
the state of mind of those around them.
Some people have more basic ability in this area than others,
and some through much training & practice can acquire some
degree of skill in this matter.

I highly doubt that. Animals can sense fear... guys only think about what they want. It's kind of the same with girls. It's the human way of thinking.
