cat's got scabby mouth?

We got a cat, it's a stray really, it doesn't belong to us, but it hangs around our place.

We feed it, but we're only at that place once a week or so. We don't want to keep it and we're not paying for vet treatments etc....

It's got a scabby mouth now, around it's lips is all scabby looking. Do cats get facial eczma or anything?

I'm thinking youth in asia wood be the best remedy, but reluctant to pay for that either... We're moving house shortly and don't want to take it with us. I've tried cat shelters and spca places, but no-one's interested.

I'm not cruel, but I'm not opposed to euthanising cats, I've done it before, a bullet in the brain is fast and painless, but don't have firearms anymore, and it's in town.... So any suggestions for euthanising a cat, yes I have an axe, but looking for something a bit cleaner than that...

Update:

I think euthanasia is the best option! There's too many stray cats in this country, they go feral and end up attacking native wildlife.

Think the RSPCA and cat shelters have enough to deal with. I've contacted them but they don't reply...

It's been 'adopted' once before, but keeps coming back to our address!

I've read CO2 euthanasia can be done by mixing baking soda and vinegar in a bag with a hose, and transferring the gas to a sealed container containing the cat, this may be enough to sedate the cat, where other means may be employed? I take your point about animal cruelty; because it's a cat I shall do it away from prying eyes. too bad if it's a mouse, or a rat.

It's a nice enough cat, but it's feral.

Try not to euthanise the cat, probally nothings wrong with it. It may just have scars around his mouth from fighting and they're healing so they're turning into scabs. Try contacting Rspca, they help 'Abused and ill' Cats even if they don't belong to you.

You only euthanise a cat if it's ill and there isn't any treatment to help their pain. If it does need to be Euthanised, The Rspca will do it. Please leave it to them. You could get caught by people and they would get the wrong idea and think your doing 'Animal Cruelty' whereas you think you would be doing a good thing but people these days would do anything for a person to get a Fine -_-.

    Hope this helped :-)

the black scabs on the chin is "kitty acne", just a build up of oils etc just like blackhead we get. Get an acne wipe and wipe the chin area keeping it away from the mouth. The dirty ears may be a sign of earmites or just waxy buildup. The black spots around the eyes and mouth that won't come off is just skin pigment that some older cats get.

simply turn her into the local humane society or animal shelter, in other words, release your tentative ownership and allow her to be submitted to their care.
