Where to stop from NJ and FL?

I am planning on a roadtrip from central Jersey to Orlando, FL. I will be traveling with children, so its vital for us to stop every now and then. What is the best route? What are the best placers to stop?

I really suggest St. Augustine FL, I have been to theme parks and such, but this place is my favorite has buildings from 1600s and an old cobble stone road from then you walk on(no cars) from old days to walk through, they have the fountain of youth(ponce de leon), the oldest school house, the oldest house and Spanish quarters..... also Ripleys believe it or not and old bridges and hotels...its awesome like your back it old old times. Like old old time when America was first discovered. They say its the first town in America.

And you can go this route to Orlando going I95

Take I-95 down. And depends on how long you want to stop, and when. You can stop in Baltimore, Maryland. There's a cool aquarium there, lots of shops and restaurants and things to do. You can go to Washington D.C. on the way down. There's a place called South of the Border in South Carolina. It's a cool place. They have restaurants, rides, shops, and of course places to refill your gas. You can spend an hour up to a whole day there. 200 miles before, they have funny signs on both sides of the highway leading up to South of the Border which is really neat. I'm sure there are zoos or parks that you can take rest stops at as well. Have fun!
