Restoring a computer to factory?

I need to do a factory restore on a laptop cos it's not working properly. I can only use it at all in safe mode but the restore facility doesn't work in safe mode. When it loads normal mode I can't seem to access anything. As I don't have a cd is there another way I can restore it? Thanks

Many laptops have a restore partition on the hard drive.

Usually a key such as F10 when booting takes you to a restore option.

Please note that using this will delete everything you have ever done on the machine.

You will also need to spend hours with updates afterwards.

Tell us the brand, we might be able to help you.

Just guessing, you can try F10, or F12, or F9, but they may or may not work.
