Did H&R Block Screw Up?

I went to H&R Block on 4 / 13/ 2012 to file for a extension on my Federal and State income taxes and to seek guidance on what I need to file my tax returns because this year I received a form 1099-K , the first person did my Federal extension and had no answers to my questions of what I need to file my taxes and I don't think her calculation of how much I should send a check for with the extension was correct because I had tax paid in from my job , then she had no clue how to do a State extension and she sent me to another guy that did the extension online which I didn't want because I had to mail them a check also with his calculation that was almost half of what the Federal was , they both gave me the bumbs rush and I even had to ask for a copy of the State extension...

Today there was a message on my answering machine from H&R Block telling me that the fee they charged me was being returned in a check to me , so I'm thinking to myself did they screw up and by refunding me my fee H&R block is off the hook for something?
