What Transformers series is the best and why?

G1. The story is top notch most of the time. Sure there are some corny episodes but by today's writing standards the original G1 series was much more mature and engaging. Of course it is 25 years old so the animation and design are lacking by today's standards. Still I would choose G1 because the story outweighs the lack of aesthetic quality.
