If contradictions are against god's nature, then why are there so many of them in the Bible?

The Bible is full of stories containing riddles and paradoxes, they are not designed to provide answers but are means to get the hearer (or reader) to meditate on mysteries which are veiled in imagery (or "thought experiments"), they are mostly philosophical problems that have plagued philosophers and theologians for thousands upon thousands of years.
These "riddles", so to speak, cover every base in the problems of philosophy and theology.
If you take these clothed paradoxes literally, you have missed the point.

Contradictions? I know most people will respond that there are none, but there are. Starting with Christ praying to God in the Garden at Gethsemane. Was he praying to himself? He must have been but why would He do that. If Christ and God are the same being and they are "one", then why are a man and woman not "one flesh" as the Bible says when they get married?
I mean you could write a book about the contradictions in the Bible. Noah put two of everything on a wooden ark? Really? Elephants, every bird - keeping in mind there are roughly 10,000 species of birds in the world. Noah wouldn't have had time to collect them nor room to put them on an ark. If he only collected a few and they've evolved into the variety we see today... oh wait, these same people don't believe in evolution. Every other animal? How did he collect the deer native to the western US? How did he make sure he got each species of insect? Was Noah an entomologist?
Do Christians need to be baptized or not? Do they need to repent or not? Do they need to keep the sabbath day holy or not? If yes, why? If not, who said so and when?
I can't take any answer to your question seriously because it is a fact that 70% of Christians haven't ever read the Bible. And if 70% admit it, there is probably a large percentage of the remaining 30 that aren't very well versed.

All the supposed contradictions in the Bible had been explained over and over and they where not contradictions at all. For instance there are parts of the Bible where two people tell the same story. One speaks about some details while the other of others. To one it may seem the two contradict each other, but they do not. I will give some example:
in one verse it says: and god created man and women
while in another and god created man... then out of his 'rib' created woman.
it is no contradiction and no double creation.
or one verse says Noah took two animals of each kind.
and another he took seven pairs from the clean kind
they do not contradict each other , the detail about the clean kind is not specified by the first that's all
or one verse says the rain lasted 40 days
while the other says the water stayed on the land for 150 days
no contradiction. when a lot of rain comes it does not withdraw into the ground right away.
and the list can continue.
to @rndyh77:
ok, Christ was both entirely God and entirely human. As a human he felt all we felt: hunger, thirst, fear. And as a human he prayed to The first person at the holy trinity , to The father.
The man and woman when they get married become one flesh in the sense that what hurts one will also hurt the other be it physical or of any other nature.
If you eliminate from your list insects and sea animals, and if you realize it is kind not species you will realize there is plenty of space. Second, Noah did not collect them, God made them come to Noah. Third you do not understand what evolution implies. Evolution implies a for one kind of animal to become another. For instance a dog to become a cat. Speciation on the other hand means that from a dog over time you may get a big dane or a chihuahua. It is not the same no matter what evolutionist like to lie. We agree with speciation, not evolution.
Yes we need to be baptized and yes we need to repent for our sins. Yes we need to keep a day of rest but the fact that we celebrate the first day of the week has nothing to do with it. Jews had their reasons to chose Saturday as we have ours to choose Sunday. Also note that sabbath literally means day of rest.
And yes I have read the entire Bible.

There ARE none....
knockers of the bible bring up situations about specific numbers etc etc, when they seem to completely ignore the Bible's theme...
The Kingdom...
O/T...(Daniel 2:44) “And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite;
N/T...(Luke 4:43) But he said to them: “Also to other cities I must declare the good news of the kingdom of God, because for this I was sent forth.”
(Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.
Now if anyone can show two scriptures which countermand each other on the subject of the Kingdom, I will apologise...but not before...
both the O/T and the N/T always agree on it...
Only Satan wants the Bible scrubbed as a source of information...

i can give you several different answers not all of them the same
then again, not all contradictions are
many that a first year seminary student will find can be proved not a contradiction by the fourth year.
or in my case after 32 years.
the story is what is to believed, the gospel of salvation and remission of sins is not a contradiction anywhere else, its the truth, there are lies that contradict the gospel that doesnt count.
we have the scriptures in high esteem for the value of teaching doctrines of righteousness. Jesus himself said that not one jot or tittle will be done away with (something like that) but it is conclusive that in the english language there are no jots and tittles.
hah, this statement rebukes the inerrency of the bible at least when it is written in english.

The Bible is full of paradoxes - and it was Jesus' stated policy to speak in parables to confound those whose heart's were not right before God.
Paradoxes sort out people's motives, you see. Those who hate God will use them to accuse God.
As for alleged contradictions, yes, there are some peculiar things (usually stated in OT historical narratives) that don't agree with other things elsewhere. If you get the New Living Study Bible you will see them owned up to in the extensive footnotes, and where explanations are given, you can cross reference to see for yourself and decide for yourself if the matter is serious or trivial. Given the massive amount of writing that makes up the 66 books of the Bible, it is astonishing that there are so few of them.

Maybe they were all reconciled in the books the current church people pretend don't exist. The bible itself refers to scriptures not in the bible, but fundies will say the bible is the complete work of god ( calling Jesus a liar) and that it is the only source. The gospel of Judus fixes many of the problems with the new testament, most particularly those that deal with Jesus having basically committed suicide. The Apocalypse of Peter deals with the problem of the injustice of an eternal hell. To bad the "faithful" don't want you to know the truth.
Of course a simple gnostic reading fixes pretty much everything.

Their are no contradictions your lies are nothing but made up, I mean have you read the bible cover to cover and actually listed all the contradictions in order?
Obviously because the Bible is a work of fiction created by men, just as god is.
You already know this. Why are you asking it?
