CHRISTIANS: What would it take to have you urge other Christians to stop condemning gay men & lesbians?

I do. All the time. Here and elsewhere. The good news is that more and more Christians are walking away from homophobia.

It's good to see there are a few that stand up for equal rights.

I am amazed by the fools here that think it is a choice and/or that their religious brainwashing should affect other peoples RIGHTS. And that one btch thinks that equal rights are special rights and that a person who's homosexual is a self-righteous whiner.

Ugh. You'd think people who are educated enough to be able to read and speak wouldn't be so judgmental but I guess religious brainwashing can do that to a less logical person.

I will not ever sign such a disgraceful document, BUT

AS a Committed Christian it is not my place to CONDEMN any sinner.

God is quite capable of doing that without my help, HOWEVER,

I will continue to pass on to each and every sinner identified as such,

God's condemnation of the fact that they are sinners.

Idol worshipers, Sunday worshipers, Murderers, Thieves, Liars,

Fornicators, etc. are all sinners.

Homosexuals make themselves so obvious that they may as well

stand on a street corner and shout out, "Look at me, I am a homosexual"

that they deserve all the condemnation they get.

I already do. Where are you getting the idea we are absent from the debate? Have you asked every outspoken supporter of gay rights what their religious beliefs are?

For Christians are not to participate in something like this, does not make them self-righteous, for we are told to flee from sin, run away from it, not toward it. For us to say such a thing is right, would be going against the Word of the living God. Jesus told us that we are in this world, but we are not of this world, and that if the world hated Him, it will also hate us.

The Bible tells us, "For if our hearts condemns us, God is greater than our hearts, and knows all things. Beloved, if our hearts DOES Not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. As Christians our hearts tells us that such a thing is a sin, and when we try to tell others what the Lord has said about this, it is not us condemning them, but the word of God. "For the word of God is living, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is NO creature hidden from His sight, but ALL things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom WE Must give account" (Hebrews 4:12-13).

There is a big difference in discriminating, and standing up for we also believe in, Christians have a voice especially in the America, and it needs to be heard more often, and being a Christian does not mean that we are to sit quietly by, and watch, and do nothing as sin comes into our nation like a lamb, and devourers the people like a wolf. Jesus did not sit quietly by while the money changers made His Father house like a den of thieves. Matter of fact He got pretty loud, and He whip those who did such a thing out of His Father house. God is a holy God, and we all need to remember that, and a holy God will not tolerate sin. We do not hate gay people, God does not hate gay people, but we both hate the sin that is committed by them, and how they try to make our children on T.V. and elsewhere believe that this is a natural thing of mankind. This as Christians is what we are against. We as God love the sinner, but we hate the sin. We hate our own sin, and each day we have to take it before the Lord, and ask the Holy Spirit to help us with it. And a real Christian will always stand against sin, and one may call it what they will, condemning, discriminating, whatever, but the living God calls it sin, and so do we.

All that Jesus has said He would do, He will do, and is now doing, and who can stand against the Word of the living God.

Let me explain it all to you. Who is any more self righteous than gays? They whine and moan about their "right" to marriage. They have no natural right to marriage. Only a woman has a natural right to marriage with the father of her children. That's what marriage is for. I saw some dude on CNN moaning about how his "marriage" wasn't recognized by the US government and he couldn't get a green card. That's what marriage was to him, a green card. Marriage is a woman's right and a man's duty. That's because sexuality is about making families so the human race can go on. GAYS are the self righteous ones, beating their bosoms about marriage. well...heres the thing....same sex couples don't have any special rights.....nor do they chose to participate in a lifestyle that is natural....i don't condemn the person who is gay....God is clear on His declaration of people who chose to live a same sex life....sadly lots of others condemn...but their condemnation cant and wont ever justify the choice of people to reject Gods perfect plans....

Gays and lesbians may do as they see fit, what do you need my approval for? Why should I sacrifice my eternal life for your temporary situation?
