Does tuna cause diarhea? (Sorry t.m.i.)?
I think my toddler has an intollerance to the almond milk I've been giving her (she's lactose intollerant). She keeps having diarhea for about 5 days now. My husband seems to think she's having diarhea because of the tuna that she eats almost daily but she has had that for over a year now and hasn't had a reaction to it before. The almond milk has been introduced in the past 2 months. No reaction to it until now.
So I'm just wondering if anyone else has heard of diarhea being caused by tuna fish.

No I havent heard that about tuna. BUT she shouldn't have tuna daily. It has mercury, which isn't good to eat daily. I read one or two meals of fish a week for an adult is ok.
I just googled...to much mercury over time can cause ALOT of issues, one of them is digestive..which can cause diarreal. If you weigh 120lbs...1 can of albicore white tuna every 11 days!!! or 1 can of light tuna every 4 days is safe. so..to me that is scarry for you dd. Look into it to see if you agree or not. You may want to get her tested for mercury poisining): and stop giving her tuna daily. It could cause her to get severe health issues. (please Google...how much tuna can a toddler eat)
Your husband could be right! It is so sad...fish is sooo healthy but with the mercury in the environnent...getst into the ocean...the big fish have mercury...eat little fish with mercury. so the big fish..like Tuna are less safe then the smaller fish.
