If you're doing towing/hauling, something with high torque. An F150 with a 4.6 or 5.4 from 2003 would be nice. But maintenance is a little costly(as for most trucks). A Chevy C/k 1500 with any Vortec is also Very reliable(above 1999 when the new generation engines were introduced). Also, unless you're hauling on non-paved roads, a 2wd will be less costly.
