What are heat flashes in women,and how to deal with it?

    They're called hot flashes, and are a common side effect of menopause. Mostly we deal with it by dressing in layers and making use of fans and air conditioners. The hot flashes should go away, eventually, if they're caused by menopause.

    Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is sometimes used, and there are some people who say that this is great, and some who say that the risks are not worth the benefits. I haven't kept up with this, but it's easy to search for.
