Is there a way to get a high energy washing machine to put more water in the tub when it fills?

I know they are made to use less water than the older models of washers, but even on the setting for the "extra heavy" load, there's hardly enough water to get the clothes wet. Is anybody else frustrated by this? BTW, we have excellent water pressure and supply throughout the house in all areas.

Maybe you mean "high efficiency"? Anyway, I always use the "bulky" setting, but I would never buy another top-loader H.E. again. How "efficient" is it if I have to wash everything twice to get it clean? My water is from a well (with pressure system) so I couldn't care less how much water it uses, but it eats up the electricity, which we still have to pay for.

Nope...no way to get more water in them. That's why I will never ever own one. They suck & they do NOT get your clothes clean.
