Going to Orlando, what parks to visit?
Hi, I'm visiting Orlando with my daughter in June. We are going to visit the theme parks on 2 days. We are doing Harry Potter and Sea World separately. With the two days, I see you can get tickets that include the water parks. My plan was to get that ticket so we could do a theme park then a water park on each day.Or is it better to get a "visit as many as you want on the day" ticket, which is more expensive? I appreciate it will be busy, but how busy? How long do you normally stand in a queue for a ride? Are they all scary roller coaster rides? My daughter is 10, neither of us likes scary roller coasters though it seems most Americans love them! Any other tips much appreciated.

Hi. I am visiting in June also and currently looking for park tickets so will be monitoring this post closely. I have been several times before but not for a few years now. From what I can remember, yes unfortunately it is very busy! The queues (which I hate with a passion) are also long, but vary from ride to ride. The popular rides often have queues of 40mins +. Easily going over an hour! Some rides have fastpass ticket lines, where you will grab a ticket which tells you to come back later at a certain time and you can pretty much skip the queue then which is good :-) There aren't that many big coasters (I'm not a fan myself- big baby!) There are lots of thrill rides like moving simulators and lots of children friendly rides also. There are often lots of downpours due to the time of the year. 1 minute it is sunny and the next there is torrential rain. It doesn't last too long, maybe 15mins, but you will get SOAKED! So it is advisable to buy a plastic poncho to keep your clothes dry. Feet will get a little wet though! I can't remember the price of them in the parks but you could probably pick one up from a local store for a little cheaper. Although it's a long day out and you will be tired with aching feet, make sure you hang around for the evening fireworks. They are a must-see and absolutely fantastic! I hope you enjoy your holiday. I am very excited as I know how brilliant it is there! Have fun and hope this helps a little :-)

I took my kids to Orlando's SeaWorld last summer, spent the whole day at each theme park so that we can take our time to relax, able to see ALL the shows, kids got on all the rides they like, and take a longer break during lunch. I figured we'll probably not going back so might as well take the time to see everything.
SeaWorld actually doesn't have that many rides, however there are several good shows throughout the day and many exhibits to see. If you get to the park early, plan the time around the shows, you can probably see most of the exhibits and take a couple of rides in between shows and done the park 1/2 day to spend the latter 1/2 of the day at the Water park, a 10-year-old girl probably wouldn't go on all the rides and may get bored very quickly at the exhibits. In your case I would suggest do both but prepare and expect to be an exhausted day with a lot of walking...
Bonus tip: Ensure to buy a water mist fan at Walmart to bring it down with you, you'll appreciate it very much as it will help tremendously walking through the park in a hot summer day. They sell it twice as much in the theme park.
Good luck and enjoy.

The four theme parks at Disney World are not Amusement Parks. I have no idea where you got your information that American love scary rides. One that i not true and two there are very few what you call scary rides. There are probably more at Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios.
