Try to keep the same pace throughout your runs. If you are in a race run at a fast relaxed pace until the last lap or two. When you run bring up your knees and lengthen your strides. To improve on your strides do high knees, heel flicks and strides (running with long strides and high knees) also practise at least three times a week and try and do long distances. If you can't run it all at one start with 5 min walking and two min running and increase whenever to feel like it. Also when you run make sure your arms are at a 90 degree angle and pump them because the faster your arms go, the faster your legs go :) good luck!

As for your inhaler, you most likely have been given a reliever inhaler. Which your supposed to use before you exercise, 1-2 puffs before you go for a run. It will relax your airways and open them up, allowing you to run longer and better! - (Do read ur patient information leaflet with your inhaler to help you understand how to use it properly!)
